Amna Qureshi

Amna is a data protection and privacy specialist lawyer with a particular passion for online safety. She supports the delivery of our data protection advisory services, focussing on regulatory compliance and is part of our Australian team.
She has 10 years experience as a NSW qualified solicitor, and has worked in large multinational law firms in Australia and London. Amna has a CIPP/E certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and most recently was consulting for The World Bank in Washington DC on digital development and data protection. She has also acted as DPO to the Wellcome Trust, a leading public health research foundation in the UK.
Amna has worked for a range of IO’s, academic institutions, NGO’s and private sector organisations on the full spectrum of data protection work – ranging from drafting compliance documentation to breach response.
She has a particular interest in online safety for children and has worked on a range of projects on this topic. Amna is also a freelance content creator, having made documentaries and written feature pieces on identity, hate speech online and other social issues for the Guardian, HuffPost, i-D, the Smith Journal and Converse.
